Outfits just for you. . . . .

Dressing your body type is all about illusions and knowing your body type and what works and does not work with your body type.  There are many tricks that can be used to create the body that you want.

Below are outfits put together for each body shape.

Women with Triangle body shapes should try to emphasize the top and cinch the waist.  This outfit has a ruffle top which adds dimension to your bust area creating the illusion of a bigger bust.  The blazer cinches at the waist creating the illusion of a smaller waist.  When choosing bottoms you should choose something that doesn't have a lot of detail or patterns.  In this case all black leggings without designs.

Inverted Triangle is the very opposite of Triangle and the woman has a bigger bust then bottom.  You try not to add anymore detail to the bust area since it is already the largest part.  The outfit shown is a perfect example. The bust area has not detail and is a light color which does not draw any attention to the breast.  The bottom however is a bubble skirt with a plaid pattern which adds dimension creating the illusion of a bigger bottom.

The "perfect shape" and the shape that most women long for is Hourglass. Personally I don't believe that any one shape is better then another.  Basically with this shape its about emphasizing what you already have. Cinching the waist.  In this picture the top that is used naturally cinches at the waist.  The top is v neck showing off the bust and the jeans do not have to much detail but because they are denim it adds come dimension.

If you really don't have any curves at all you are Rectangle. When choosing an outfit you need to create curves.  Which is really easy to do.  Usually adding a belt right at the waist created the illusion of a hourglass shape.

Ok O or should I say Apple ladies it your turn. I know just about all of you have already heard that wearing all black makes you look smaller well guess what?  It's not a rumor this is so true.  Do you know what else makes you look slimmer.  Wearing a wrap skirt just like the one in the pic below.  Something about wrapped skirts just pull it all together.  Also it focuses the attention else were.

Hope that you found some useful tips that you can take with you the next time you go shopping.

Im So Pear.......

So like I said before I am a student at The Art Institute.  A few quarters back we discovered our body types in fashion coordination.  I was very shocked to find out I was a Pear Shape. Not disappointed though.  For some reason I though that slim girls, such as myself couldn't be pear shaped.  I'm actually very excited.  I like have a bigger bottom. Hope it gets even bigger.

I so love myself and my body.  I remember when I hated it.  I always wanted to be bigger.  Skin and bones is all I thought I was.  In the African American Community its hard being skinny people always telling you to gain some weight.  But who cares.

I Love Me!!

So I decided to dedicated a blog to me.
