Hey all, I am Deadra Martin a student at the Art Institute of Charlotte. Aspiring to be. . . . . .well who knows? A fashion stylist, event promoter, creative director, public relations manager, all of the above. Do I sound confused? Probably because I am. Why can't I do them all. Who needs labels anyway?
June 2011 I will be a graduate from The Art Institute of Charlotte. Something I worked long and hard for. Maybe I shouldn't count my chickens before my eggs hatch but I plan on doing whatever it takes to graduate. Off into the corporate world I go.
Now about fashion. What is fashion exactly? What is considered fashionable? Who dictates what is appropriate for us to wear? Well it depends on the individual, were your from, your society, culture. All these things have an influence on the way we dress. One of the biggest influences on an individuals fashion choices is body type.
This blog s about discovering who you are, what you like, and what will work for your body type. It will be about ways to be stylish, and trendy, but still suit your body. As the saying goes everything is NOT for everybody.
